Despite only being here for a brief time, this property left a positive impression on us thanks to the incredible outdoor living area of the Kiva 1-Bedroom Suite, gorgeous Pinnacle Peak vistas, and the warm service experience delivering on the Four Seasons brand promise.

Good to Know
Seemed to predominantly be golfers, adults, and couples staying at the property
The accommodations are all packed together pretty tightly, which made the resort feel a bit like a condo community, especially when compared to Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado, Santa Fe, which had far fewer accommodations on what felt like a similar-size property

Location & Setting
ππππ
Adjacent to Pinnacle Peak Park and the northern portion of McDowell Sonoran Preserve, Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale at Troon North is a luxury golf resort located approximately 30-minutes drive from Phoenix Sky Harbor airport with adobe casitas overlooking landscapes full of cacti, valleys and iconic Pinnacle Peak. The resort is just a quick shuttle away from two premier golf courses. We stayed at this property for one night (about 14 hours total stay time) on our way back from a couples getaway to Amangiri since we had an early morning flight from Phoenix Sky Harbor airport.
β
Property & Grounds
ππππ
With a color-scheme inspired by the Sonoran Desert in full bloom, the resort comprises 188 rooms, 22 suites, and 44 residential units across 25 separate casita buildings, 3 restaurants, a bar / lounge, fitness center, spa, tennis courts, large outdoor heated pool area, meeting facilities, and a fully-supervised "Kids for All Seasons" kids club. We loved all the nature-preserve-style walking / biking paths throughout the resort connecting the casita buildings with one another and the main property.
β
Room
πππππ
We booked a Patio Fire Pit King Casita Room directly through the resort's website. On arrival, we were upgraded (multiple room categories) to a beautiful and spacious Kiva 1-Bedroom Suite. This suite came with a massive, fully-equipped, completely walled-in outdoor living complex with heated plunge pool and lounge beds, covered dining for 2, chimenea with two bird nest chairs, and covered lounge area with loveseat and flat-screen TV.
-
There was a Master bedroom with King bed, flat-screen TV, and walk-in closet, along with a large master bathroom with tub, indoor shower and large (completely private) βal fresco gardenβ outdoor shower.
The indoor living room featured a sectional sofa bed, bar area, and separate bathroom with shower.
The facilities of the Kiva 1-bedroom suite were perfect for couples and families alike, and you may never want to leave this room between all the comforts of the outdoor and indoor living space.

Service
πππππ
Our service experience was pretty limited due to the short duration of our stay, but the team member at the front desk who greeted us and checked us in was exceptionally warm and gracious, and the in-room dining team members who brought us dinner and breakfast the next morning were prompt, courteous, and professional.
β
Dining
πππ+
The resort offers 5 Southwest-inspired dining options:
Talavera
Proof, An American Canteen with an old-fashioned Soda Jerk counter
Saguaro Blossom
Onyx Bar & Lounge
In-Room Dining
We only had in-room dining during our brief stay, but the food we had was simple yet delicious.

Family Services & Amenities
πππππ
We were originally planning to travel here with the kids, but forgot to update the booking so the resort had made up the sofa bed when we arrived and provided an in-room kids welcome amenity of chocolate rock candy, cookies, milk, and plushes. We took the goodies home to the kids as souvenirs and they were delighted.
-
The resort also offers the following kids services and amenities:
β’ Kids for All Seasons - fully supervised Kids Club for kids age 5-12
β’ Family game room
β’ Kids pool
β’ Kid-friendly dining venues (especially Proof, with a Soda Jerk counter) and kids menus available at all dining venues

β’ Concierge can assist with planning a host of kid-friendly activities and excursions

β
Wow Factor
ππππ
Having arrived here from Amangiri, the overall Wow Factor here was a little paler by comparison. That said, the room they upgraded us to was incredible, and one of our all-time favorites across our travels because of the amazing outdoor living complex.
β
Value
ππππ+
The value here was good, relatively speaking, offering lots to do on and around the property at a more reasonable price point than some of the other Four Seasons Resorts. The value of the accommodations was especially good after factoring in the complimentary 4-category room upgrade the resort gave us.
β
Overall
ππππ+
This is a beautiful resort property that seemed especially family-friendly and enticed us to want to return with the kids someday for a longer stay.
